Shift work changes both the number and the cause

So does untreated sleep apnoea, which also produces fatigue, low drive and brain fog on its own — the exact symptom set that brings men in. Treating a man’s shift-disrupted sleep with testosterone does not fix what is wrong with him. It delays finding out.

Desk-bound, and what that does to the panel

Worth knowing before you draw conclusions: obesity and type 2 diabetes both lower testosterone, and both also lower SHBG — the protein that binds most of the testosterone in your blood.
