A clinic, not a counter
Search for hormone therapy in Scottsdale and you’ll find a crowded, well-marketed field, much of it inside businesses whose main trade is aesthetics. Nothing wrong with a med spa. But testosterone therapy is a long-term medical treatment with monitoring attached. The question worth asking isn’t how nice the lobby is. It’s who reads your bloodwork, how often, and what happens when a number moves.
AZTRT is a telehealth clinic. There’s no office in Scottsdale or anywhere else. Your consult is a live video visit with Lauren Orta, FNP-C, Arizona APRN-RNP license #261957. The only place you physically go is a lab.
Three things to check before you hand anyone a card
- Who makes the decision. Ask for the prescribing provider’s name and license number. Ours is above, and you can verify it with the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
- What gets measured. A single testosterone number isn’t a diagnosis. Your initial panel covers total and free testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, CBC, CMP and PSA. A man with high SHBG can have a comfortable-looking total and little free testosterone.
- When it’s rechecked. Once your levels settle, and on a schedule after that, by the same provider. Not once at intake and never again. Follow-up labs are billed separately.

Scottsdale-specific things worth knowing
The price, in public. Scottsdale is where you’re most likely to meet quote-gating: fill in a form, take a call, and hear the number after someone has sized you up, often with a membership fee on top. Summer deliveries. Testosterone cypionate is meant to be stored at 20 to 25°C (68 to 77°F)4. Ship to a workplace, plan for when someone’s home, or use a hold-at-location option from June through September.
